The United Nations Organisation is undertaking a
worldwide effort for gathering mining data
and casualty statistics in war zones and
consolidating that data in a centralised
data warehouse. In turn, the data
warehouse will support humanitarian aid
actions in the field for demining these
zones by providing online access to all
relevant information using OLAP and GIS
applications. IMOS Consulting supported
the Center for Security Studies and
Conflict Research at the ETH University in
Zürich with the analysis of
multidimensional data structures and the
development of a first prototype.
